About Nags Head
Nags Head has grown into a popular summer resort by offering some of the best beach recreation available on the East Coast. The area is situated between the beautiful Roanoke Sound and Altantic Ocean .

The name of the town has many tales associated with it. The most popular is the story that pirates would tie lanterns to the necks of their horses and walk them on the beach at night. Merchant skippers in the off-shore waters would mistakenly think the lights were of other ships closer to shore. They would then change course and run aground with the pirates pillaging the cargoes.

Once a remote area, Nags Head now has accommodations ranging from classic, old timey cottages to luxurious vacation homes like the one available through Ford Fine Properties.

Nags Head has a reputation as a top notch recreation destination. The area offers numerous activities. Water sports are plentiful. Enjoy windsurfing on the Sound, chartering a deep sea fishing excursion or renting jet skis to name a few of the options available. Make sure you check out the world renowned Oregon Fishing Inlet.
